Empower to support UAE's 2017 Year of Giving

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 26 December 2016:  As part of its corporate social responsibility towards the UAE society, Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the largest provider of district cooling in the world, announced its support and participation in the Year of Giving initiative that was launched by HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE yesterday (24th December, 2016). 

The launch of "Year of Giving 2017" follows the conclusion of 2016 as the Year of Reading that has achieved amazing results locally and wider regions.

Empower will contribute in the implementation of the UAE wise leadership vision as the country is allocating its resources to serve the goals of the Year of Giving initiative within UAE and countries around the world.

HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE announced that 2017 in UAE will be the year of giving. To ensure its success, the focus will be on three major themes: strengthening social responsibility in the private sector, promoting spirit of volunteerism and specialised voluntary programmes in all segments of society, and strengthening the concept of serving the nation in the new generations.

These values are reflected in many initiatives leaving a significant impact on the level of individuals, communities and peoples in various countries around the world,” said HE Ahmed Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.

HE Bin Shafar confirmed the readiness of Empower to participate in all charitable activities that the UAE is carrying being a symbol of giving and goodness since the unity of the country. 

“Empower boasts great resources to contribute in the implementation of charitable and CSR initiatives, activities and events inside and outside the country. We have provided a helping hand to many communities as far as environmental sustainability is concerned. Also, in the field of district cooling, we are helping many countries in the world to implement district cooling technologies,” he added.
