Spotlight set to shine on Jaeger-LeCoultre at upcoming
Dubai Watch Week, as the brand will showcase its rare
heritage pieces, and host special watchmaking classes
Dubai, UAE, November 17, 2016: Jaeger-LeCoultre, the name that is synonymous with Fine Watchmaking, has announced its participation in one of the region’s most highly anticipated horology events, Dubai Watch Week, to be held in the city from November 15th to 19th.
Now in its second year, under the Patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, this annual global event is dedicated to craftsmanship and innovation in the watch industry, and features workshops, discussions and mentorship opportunities with a view to spreading awareness. Promising an intensive schedule, and acknowledged as a major event for the watch industry, Dubai Watch Week brings watchmakers, brands, collectors and members of the media together.

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s involvement in Dubai Watch Week includes the Brand’s notable presence on Tuesday, November 15th, the Opening Day of the Masters Horology Exhibition, which will be held for the press only (both local and international).
Jaeger-LeCoultre will also be prominently featured at the Mastery of Time exhibition, a retrospective display of significant timepieces through the ages, held at the Dubai Mall,from November 15th to 29th,in partnership with the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie. . This exhibition will include some of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s finest, unparalleled heritage pieces, truly worth seeing.
On display will be: the 1895 Grande Complication pocket watch with minute repeater, chronograph and perpetual calendar, the 1931 Reverso Lady in steel and 18 C yellow gold, the 1931 Original Reverso created for British army officers in India for polo games, the 1932 Joaillerie Duoplan, a wristwatch set with brilliant-cut diamonds, the 1964 Joaillerie 101 Riviere, a wristwatch set with 61 baguette-cut diamonds boasting the world’s smallest mechanical movement since 1929, the circa 1900 Jewellery pendant watch in blue enamel case with rose-cut diamonds, the 1958 Chronometre Geophysic, created for scientists, the 1950 first Memovex watch, the ultimate watch
for active men during the post-war boom period and the Vers 1910 Montre de Poche Extra Plate. and the 1983 Atmos dite “de Jean Paul II”, the 1972 Atmos Verre Gravé, and the 1996 Atmos Vendome.
This exhibition will be extended, after the official dates are over, for additional viewing at the Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique in Dubai Mall.
Additionally, Jaeger-LeCoultre will host a Watchmaking Class in partnership with Dubai Watch Week. The hour-long class will be held at 5pm on Thursday, November 17th, and at 4pm on Friday, November 18th. The watchmaker conducting this class will be flown from the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre, located in the Vallée de Joux, in Switzerland. Guests who wish to attend can register via Dubai Watch Week.
