National Geographic Abu Dhabi: July 2016 – Series Premiers

Abu Dhabi, UAE, June 30, 2016:  July on National Geographic Abu Dhabi continues with a strong line-up of new series as well as returning fan-favorites for this summer. 

Series: Yukon River Run (8 Episodes/ 60 Minutes Each)

Synopsis: Beginning deep in the Alaskan wilderness a unique breed of men gather valuable abandoned lumber to build primitive rafts that will serve as their shelter, their transportation and their commerce. They then set sail for weeks, navigating one of the oldest trade routes of the North. In the end, at the mouth of the river, whatever they've made will support their families through the winter.

Synopsis: Danger Decoded is the show that analyzes a series of real-life disaster situations, caught on camera and challenges you to discover the crucial warning signs. Get ready to analyze danger. In National Geographic Channel's brand new show Danger Decoded you will be presented with a series of moments when disaster is about to strike. Your job is to look for the evidence, detect the real risks and spot that one critical clue that will lead to the ultimate outcome. Will you identify the warning signs and decode the danger? For example, what could possibly go wrong for a speeding car racing across the desert trying to reach 200mph? Is it the unstable terrain, the lack of a spoiler, or the sporadic marker cones lining the run? Or what could go wrong with a bungee jump, the frayed rope? Or is the rope too long for the jumper?  You'll also learn a few fun facts as you go along. For example, did you know that statistically you're just as likely to die whilst running a marathon as you are skydiving? Synopsis: New England anglers TJ and Marciano steam South to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for the winter blue-fin tuna season. They will face new challenges including harsh weather and a new set of competing fishermen with their own Southern charms and tactics. They must compete with each other, large conglomerates and the fish themselves to make ends meet
