ADNOC Distribution Honours Winners of HSE Award 2015

Abu Dhabi-UAE: May 07, 2016 – Committed to encourage several of its departments, ADNOC Distribution held its annual ceremony yesterday to award the winners of its third Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Award programme. This year’s initiative saw an increase of 57% from last year, having had 58 submissions this year as opposed to 37 last year. 

The ceremony was attended by Eng. Saeed Mubarak Al Rashidi, Acting Chief Executive Officer for ADNOC Distribution along with a number of senior management’s members and a group of the company’s employees where Al Rashidi announced the list of winning projects with the six major categories that include operations, technical affairs, CEO, retails sales and commercial sales as well as management. Al Rashidi also honoured the runner-ups in each category, which in total had 12 projects. 

Commenting on this occasion, Eng. Saeed Mubarak Al Rashidi said: "Year after year, ADNOC Distribution is witnessing strong momentum in its Health, Safety and Environment programme. This progress has not stopped since the programme’s launch three years ago in terms of submission numbers and quality. The programme aims at enhancing the health and safety standards in all facilities and subsidiaries as well as raise awareness around these issues and promote a culture of health and safety.”

Al Rashidi added: "I am pleased to take this opportunity to congratulate first place winners and the runner-ups in all categories, for what they have achieved and their efforts to enhance the performance and the levels of health and safety and the environment achieved in our company. We are fully confident that such initiatives will enhance the culture of health, safety and environment across all departments, which will make a positive change in ADNOC Distribution and achieve our ambitions in this aspect, which is essential in the areas of our work."

Among the first place winning projects was “a new concept for LPG storage” in the operations category, and "CNG refuelling - a sustainable solution" in the category of technical, "ADNOC intelligent service stations" in the CEO category, and "follow the rules, carry safety tools” in the retail sales category, and “aviation mobile pumping and fuelling vehicle” in the commercial sales category and “let us come to you! Basic firefighting & basic first-aid training by using a mobile multifunctional safety” in the administration category. 

Runner-ups in the Award programme were also honoured which include the "complex grease manufacturing - a new technology" in the operations category, " asset life extension" in the technical category, "click, like, adopt - change practices for safety awareness” in the CEO category, "less steps, less time = effective inspection” in the retail sales category and “aircraft fuelling with dispenser engine shutoff” in the commercial sales category as well as “competency portfolio system” in the administration category.
