Dubai, March 22, 2016: Emirates Post Group, in partnership with the Automobile and Touring Club of UAE, is supporting safe driving by UAE travelers in foreign countries by facilitating the issuing of authorised international driving permits at any of the 118 post offices in the UAE.
Chief Commercial Officer of EPG, Mr. Ibrahim Bin Karam said: “Emirates Post Group has partnered with the Automobile and Touring Club of UAE, to provide the service of obtaining authorized and universally accepted international driving permits to protect UAE travelers from the harm that can be caused by dubious licenses issued by unauthorized organisations.
Apart from helping reduce illicit licenses, we also offer a convenient service in a customer friendly ambience at post-office counters, as part of our efforts to offer high quality multiple services under one roof.”
“We are delighted to offer this unique service to our customers in association with an exclusive partnership with the Automobile and Touring Club of UAE through a countrywide network of post offices, and not limited to selected outlets. We share the goal of the Club to enable maximum number of international travelers to get their international driving permits with ease through conveniently located post offices,” added Mr. Bin Karam.
EPG provides easy procedures for applying for a driving permit at post offices. Applicants first need to fill up the Intentional Driving Permits Form, and provide a copy of passport, Visa page and valid UAE driving license, along with two photographs and fee of AED 140.
Emirates Post Group’s strong partnership with the UAE Automobile and Touring Club was reflected in the release of special commemorative stamps by EPG on the occasion of the Club’s golden jubilee in January 2016.
