Manal Alalem took the time to visit different separate street food outlets, allowing her to enjoy both a fantastic tour of Global Village and a culinary tour of the world.
She said that the treats were fantastic. “Global Village is definitely a great place for foodies and budding chefs to come try out new flavours that they normally wouldn’t be able to try elsewhere. This is because the park offers so many restaurants and kiosks from around the world that people may have not had the chance to try before. It’s a great experience to be able to sample so many international and very different foods.”
Guests will have the chance to sample a number of items which have been specially created by both restaurants and kiosks as part of the street food celebration including Balqees Kunafa, Hyderabadi Dum Biryani, Karak Tea, Kebab & Pizza, Madam Sushi, Taza Tea, Witch Bar, Ya Weely and Nattas Café.
Commenting on her global taste experiences, Manal added: “The Dubai Food Festival offers people in Dubai a very unique chance to sample really interesting menus from lots of different places and it is always a great experience to be a part of the festival, it also gives a great chance to visit Global Village and try lots of treats from all over the world.”
“I have already tried Pizza & Kebab, which is basically a Romanian mixed grill piece which is lovely and have also been lucky to try a special Portuguese tart that I really liked. When I asked for the recipe they said it was a 200 year old secret! One of the tastiest products I tried was the Konafa Lotus from Balqees Kunafa which was a wonderful dessert that is specially made at Global Village during Dubai Food Festival.”
The special street food celebration at Global Village will offer guests both a savoury and sweet experience every day during the Dubai Food Festival where they will offer special dishes that are only available during the festival
