Software AG announces winners of 2015 Software AG Customer and Partner Awards

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 6, 2015- Software AG, a global leader in business processes, integration and big data, revealed the winners of this year’s Software AG Customer and Partner Awards held during its recently concluded first-of-its-kind Innovation Day at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai.  Heike Jope, Deputy Consul General of the German Consulate in Dubai, handed over the awards to the company’s customers and partners who have utilized its solutions to support the deployment of digital strategies in their business operations.   

Six awards from different categories were given for the 2015 competition, namely the Digital Innovation Partner of the Year; Digital Transformation Award; Emerging Partner of the Year; Smart Government Partner of the Year; Digital Banking Partner of the Year; and Digital Transformation Leadership in Telecoms Award. 

Health Authority- Abu Dhabi (HAAD) bagged the Excellence in Enterprise Architecture award for its innovative enterprise architecture project implemented using Software AG solutions. Noura Al-Meraikhi, Senior Officer – IT Service Contract Management, received the honor on behalf of HAAD.  The Digital Transformation Award went to Technology Strategies Middle East (TSME) for building a service improvement methodology using the ARIS Business Process Analysis (BPA) at the General Secretariat of the Executive Council in Abu Dhabi. TSME Operations Manager Firas Saifan accepted the recognition. 

Venkatraman. A, Vice President  for Enterprise Content Management of Finesse, received the  Emerging Partner of the Year prize conferred to Finesse for its successful implementation of Software AG’s Terracota at Al Ain Municipality to optimize service delivery. The Smart Government Partner of the Year was awarded to InfoSys for its Government Services Bus at the Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRA), which demonstrates advanced nationwide strategic engagement to enhance the government-to-citizen experience. The prize was received by Infosys Director Sushil Jethliya. 

Cognizant Technology Solutions was named this year’s Digital Banking Partner of the Year for developing ‘Intraday Liquidity Monitoring’ (ILM) for the banking industry using Software AG solutions. ILM provides real-time global entity and currency visibility to multinational financial institutions along with other BASEL 3 compliance tools. The recognition was received by the team of Cognizant which includes Shishir, Rama, Ashok, Anan Kumar & Millind. Lastly, the 2015 Digital Transformation Leadership in Telecoms Award went to Saudi Telecom Co. in recognition of its digital transformation project using Software AG technology. Saudi Telecom’s Yasser Al-Rowys and Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Sultan accepted the prize.

The pioneering Innovation Day in Dubai was part of Software AG’s EMEA Regional Innovation Day series. Considered as the first of its kind in the UAE, the event highlighted why companies are developing a digital strategy and integrating digitization into all aspects of their businesses.
