Ministry officials and Top influential business leaders gather at the 1st World Strategy Summit in Abu Dhabi

National competitiveness, UAE vision 2020, UAE humanitarian strategy and how to future proof an organization were key topics discussed at the first day of the summit
Abu Dhabi, UAE, November 17, 2015: Ministry officials, top management gurus, business leaders, entrepreneurs and over 500 delegates today gathered at the first World Strategy Summit to discuss effective strategy and innovation for a sustainable future.
Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of UAE and Minister of Interior, the Ministry of Interior is hosting the summit in strategic partnership with ASP (Association for Strategic); which is produced by the World Development Forum as the organising partner at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort.
The first day of the summit featured key topics focusing on national competitiveness, achieving UAE’s vision and goals for 2020 through an effective strategy; which are as follows:
- UAE Humanitarian Strategy by H. E. Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Development and International Cooperation
- UAE Federal Government Strategy by H.E. Ohood Al Roumi, Director General for the Prime Minister office
- The ultimate competitive advantage by Prof. Gary Hamel
- Re-Imagine! Business excellence in a disruptive age by Tom Peters
Ramon Garcia, Strategy Advisor & Former Deputy Mayor of Barcelona City and James Stockmal, Vice President, ASP shared best practices and case studies on effective Government transformation. In addition, Mohamed El-Mahdi, VP of Corporate Strategies, Siemens AG and Jim Gilchrist, CEO, CAES shared business and leadership success.
The World Strategy Summit provides an engaging platform covering a wide conversation; enabling leaders and organizations to think out-of-the-box to remain competitive and profitable for today and in the future.
