UAE flag flies high at HBMSU's campus for ‘Flag Day' celebration

UAE, November 3, 2015 - Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) commemorated the ‘UAE Flag Day’ in response to the call of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to celebrate this national occasion. This day marks President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s assumption of office. 

The UAE flag was raised at HBMSU’s campus amid a festive atmosphere, with senior university officials, administrators and learners attending the ceremony. The UAE flag is a symbol of national identity which reflects the highest sense of unity and belonging to the homeland. The attendees reiterated their loyalty and commitment to the UAE Government’s quest for socio-economic growth, the preservation of local culture, and environmental sustainability in line with the vision and guidance of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa, who continues the country’s march towards excellence started by the late President H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
