Activating the chain reaction of impact
Dubai, October 25, 2015: Power women from the Middle East IT Channel congregated for an exclusive networking evening at Gitex Technology Week at the Dubai World Trade Centre to express solidarity with women's empowerment and gender parity in workplaces and discussed ways to strengthen the number of women leaders in the technology sector. Hosted by The Meera Kaul Foundation, a not-for-profit organization enabling women's empowerment by ending their economic marginalization in workplaces, the evening was full of inspiring stories and laughter, as women shared their journeys, struggles and accomplishments.
Talking at the event, Meera Kaul, chairperson of the Foundation, emphasized the value of such gatherings as they marked the beginning of lifelong friendships and the start of a chain reaction of impact. "It’s a chain reaction of impact. We all are role models and can make an impact by bringing more and more women into technology. If each of us takes on 2-3 young girls or women to mentor, and guides them to be a successful executive or entrepreneur, the cumulative impact can be tremendous. We must work towards increasing this engagement", she added.
