Dubai – 9 September 2015: Out of its keenness on meeting the wise leadership’s vision of nurturing a strong culture of creativity and innovation at the workplace, Dubai Customs’ Corporate Communication Department has held a ceremony honouring staff members who have worked on the development of Al Barza online forum – a new discussion platform that brings together all DC employees in order to put forth and discuss innovative ideas to further develop customs work.
A host of Dubai Customs senior officials and employees attended the ceremony.
Khalil Saqer bin Gharib, Director of Corporate Communication at Dubai Customs stated on this occasion, “The launch of Al Barza Smart Forum is an added milestone for Dubai Customs within the ‘Year of Innovation,’ marking the department’s innovative approach in developing internal communication at the corporate level. The Forum aims at joining employees together via an interactive smart platform that promotes an innovative working environment within Customs, in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
“Devising up an internal electronic platform for continued brainstorming and exchange of ideas pertaining to customs work proved to be a rich tool enabling employees to expand their internal network, share knowledge, and better hone expertise.”
The project casts its shade upon both employees and clients at the same time, as the internal customs related discussions through the platform are set to synthesise better conceptualization of ideas, transforming them into actual initiatives and projects that would be in the best interest of our clients and the entire community, he added.
Participants in Al Barza contributed around 51 smart ad creative ideas all geared up towards the development of customs work, which ultimately supports a sustainable economic growth within the UAE.
At the end of the ceremony, the Executive Director of Human Resources, Finance and Administrative Affairs Buti Al Jumairi honoured all employees who partake in the development and launch of Al Barza Forum, as well the forum’s first participants, the most active members initiating topics for discussion, and those whose raised topics have drawn the biggest response.
