Dubai, United Arab Emirates (July 21, 2015): As the nation steadily heads towards a knowledge-based economy, International School of Arts and Sciences (ISAS) - managed by leading academic solutions provider Academia Management Solutions International (AMSI) – prides itself in developing an academic platform that complements UAE’s Vision 2021.
ISAS’s pre-studies program, developed by AMSI with the workplace needs in mind, ensures that the students leave with the skills, knowledge and hands-on experience sought by universities and employees worldwide. As countries become increasingly porous and welcome human capital from around the world, ISAS strongly encourages learning foreign languages which aids students in adapting to multicultural environments. At present, ISAS has devised thorough courses to teach English, Arabic, French, Spanish and even Mandarin as a part of their pre-studies curriculum.
Underscoring the need for students to excel beyond academics, ISAS students, highly encouraged to participate in various co-curricular activities, have participated and brought laurels in the ABRSM music program, and in events such as Emirates Literature Festival, American University of Sharjah Model United Nations Conference, Harvard Model Congress and the AMSI Championship. In the same vein, students are also sensitized with the societal challenges through NGO visits and participating in environment initiatives.
ISAS is at the forefront of embracing technology to inspire innovation in learning, albeit without losing the traditional touch of passing knowledge under the guidance of a teacher. Be it the ‘Campus Key’ smart card that allows parents to keep a track of their ward’s expenses at school or access to performance evaluations through the school portal, ISAS along with constant support from AMSI is keen to refine processes and maximize attention on a child’s overall progress.
Staying relevant with demands for changes in syllabus is a responsibility ISAS undertakes to full advantage, which it achieves by seeking feedback from teachers, students, parents and other consultants in the field to improve the curriculum at every opportunity. As a result, students emerge with skills and resources that can be readily applied at subsequent stages of education, and help their representative countries trudge further in achieving their vision. This was clearly reflected in the students’ results in all benchmark tests they took.
