Phoenix Motorcars Has Supplied its ZEUS Electric Shuttle Bus for Trials to Masdar City

14-passenger, all-electric shuttle bus will provide clean transport and will save more than 60 tons of CO2 each year in the UAE.

Abu Dhabi, UAE, June 7, 2015 – Phoenix Cars LLC Based in Ontario, California a wholly-owned subsidiary of Al Yousuf LLC, based in Dubai, UAE, has supplied a Zero Emissions Utility Shuttle (ZEUS) for testing at Masdar City. The 14-passenger, fully electric bus will be used to transport visitors and employees around Masdar City.

Phoenix estimates the bus will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, saving more than 60 tons of CO2 annually per vehicle, versus a conventional gasoline, or diesel powered shuttle.

The electric shuttle is powered by the Phoenix proprietary EV platform, which can deliver 100-mile (160-km) range and can complete a full charge in as little as three hours. The Phoenix ZEUS is California Air Resource Board (CARB) approved and eligible for cash incentives in the United States.  The Phoenix ZEUS features an industry-leading eight-year/300,000 mile battery warranty and the security of 24/7 technical support.
