Dubai, May 30, 2015: National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has awarded Emirates Post Group (EPG) the contract for managing its mailroom and mail distribution across 120 branches. The contract was won after a pitch involving leading courier companies. This is the first time that NBAD has outsourced such key operational requirements.
Mr. Ibrahim Bin Karam, Chief Commercial Officer of EPG, said: “The mailroom management contract with NBAD represents another major step in EPG’s drive to boost penetration in the Abu Dhabi market. NBAD has one of the largest networks in the UAE and the largest global network among all UAE banks. It was a challenge to tailor a mailroom solution for them; but we succeeded in meeting their specific requirements. Our mailroom solutions are backed by extensive expertise and a nationwide network, with a focus on enabling major companies to outsource their mailroom management requirements and thus devote their energies to their core business.”
Mr. Khalaf Al Dhaheri, Group Chief Operating Officer of NBAD, commented: “Emirates Post Group is a reputed and competent federal corporation. Before awarding the contract we carried out meticulous evaluation of different regional and international service providers and selected EPG because of its expertise in local market and advanced technological solutions. As NBAD believes in supporting national organisations, our new partnership with EPG is a step in this direction, similar to our partnerships with Etisalat and Etihad Airways”.
The mailroom management system, already in operation, was designed by Emirates Post Group to allow NBAD to send and receive mail in quickest possible time. To implement the system effectively, EPG uses a main mailroom in Abu Dhabi and three other mailrooms across the UAE. A dedicated EPG team, led by a supervisor, has been put in place to manage the bank’s internal and external mail collection and delivery.
