ADNOC Distribution Announces ‘Go Live' for the latest Oracle ERP 12.2.4 Platforms

Abu Dhabi-UAE: 30 May, 2015 - ADNOC Distribution today announced the official deployment of Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) 12.2.4 using the most advanced technology platforms at the infrastructure and middleware layer (Oracle Exadata and Exalogic Elastic Cloud Engineered Systems).
ADNOC Distribution is among the first organisations worldwide to successfully complete the mission critical upgrade using the latest technology with the purpose of increasing business process efficiency for the benefit of end-users, in line with the goals articulated by the UAE’s smart government vision.
The newly upgraded system automates most of the organisation’s key business functions including Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain, Inventory Material, Procurement, purchasing, Sales Order Management, Asset Management .Maintenance, Employee Appraisals using Fusion cloud performance management and Business Intelligence for better decision making. Providing added convenience, the new platform is fully mobile enabled.

ADNOC Distribution will leverage the benefits of the upgrade to deliver the next digital initiative through Big Data, advance analytics and mobility to optimise the organization operations and expedite the decision making process.
The key focus for the upgrade is to deliver an improved end-user experience, streamline business processes and maximise systems performance and throughputs for simplifying day to day activities for employees, vendors, and customers. The new system is anticipated to deliver these key benefits at a much lower costs, vastly reduced response time and almost zero paper work.
ADNOC Distribution’s deployment is one of the first and the largest implementations worldwide for business and Technology Solutions covering more than 40 Oracle business modules deployed over Oracle Engineered Systems private cloud environment. The system is designed and Architected to process unprecedented numbers of end-user transactions on a daily basis with exceptional high performance speed.
The Oracle ERP upgrade project was rolled out in 2013 involving more than 40 technical resources from ADNOC Distribution’s IT Division and its partners, as well as 50 key business users for validating and improving the processes following the standardisation approach.
