FUJIFILM launches the FUJINON XF90mmF2 R LM WR
Telephoto lens is weather-resistant and delivers rich bokeh and ultra-sharp images
FUJIFILM Corporation has launched their latest telephoto lens. The FUJINON XF90mmF2 R LM WR will be added to the X-Series interchangeable lens line-up in July 2015. Offering a fixed focal length of 90mm (equivalent to 137mm)and a maximum aperture of F2.0, this short telephoto optic is ideal for portrait and sports photography.
The FUJINON XF90mmF2 R LM WR is a fast-aperture prime lens that delivers ultra-sharp images with rich bokeh and vignetting even at the maximum aperture setting.
Despite having a large maximum aperture, the FUJINON XF90mmF2 R LM WR is both compact and, at 540g, lightweight ideal to for photographers to carry along in their photography kit.
“The FUJINON XF90mm is ideal for photographers pursuing portrait and sports photography. What makes it unique is the newly-developed Quad Linear Motor. This technology delivers fast, accurate autofocus, ideal to capture fast moving objects,” commented Yuta Kawamura, marketing manager, FUJIFILM Middle East & Africa.
Along with the popular XF56mmF1.2 R, this is a must-have lens for portrait photography fans that favor fast aperture prime lenses. The focal length enables photographers to shoot at a distance that won’t intimidate subjects, leading to more natural, candid results.

FUJIFILM Corporation is proud to announce the launch of the FUJIFILM X-T10, the latest premium interchangeable lens model to join the world-renowned X-series digital camera line-up. Boasting outstanding image quality, the new model, specifically designed for photography enthusiasts, combines a compact and lightweight body with a new AF system that excels at capturing moving subjects.
The electronic Real Time Viewfinder, which boasts of an impressive 0.62x magnification ratio, high-definition precision 2.36 million dot display and the world’s shortest time lag of 0.005 seconds.
Featuring an APS-C X-TransTM CMOS II sensor with built-in phase detection AF, when paired with a high-performance image processing engine and FUJINON lenses, the camera delivers excellent resolution and outstanding image quality.
“The X-T10 includes FUJIFILM’s new AF system. This technology substantially improves the camera’s ability to capture fast moving subjects, resulting in sharp, non-blurry images,” commented Taiji Yoneda, product planner and marketing supervisor, FUJIFILM Corporation, Japan.
Combined with the AF-C capability and the continuous shooting speed of up to 8.0fps, the camera delivers the high quality images that have become synonymous with the X Series cameras, across a broader range of photographic situations.
“The X-T10 is launched keeping in mind the needs of the photography enthusiasts in the region. We set out to create cameras that are not too expensive and yet can deliver images of professional quality,” commented Yuta Kawamura, marketing manager, FUJIFILM Middle East & Africa.
The camera features Fujifilm’s APS-C 16.3 megapixel X-Trans™ CMOS II sensor. Its unique, random color filter array reduces moiré and false colors without having to use an optical low pass filter. The elimination of the low pass filter, which compromises image quality, means a greater amount of light reaches the sensor. Even at an ultra-high ISO, the camera produces low noise and strong blacks, thereby broadening photographic potential in low light conditions.
The very latest digital technologies have been used to develop X-mount lenses, which offer high-precision optical designs to deliver the highest possible image quality. When designing the lens range, the aim was to achieve edge-to-edge definition for high-resolution imagery across the entire frame and offer the brightest possible maximum aperture for unparalleled creativity, while maintaining a compact and portable size. Photographers have 18 lenses to choose from, ranging from wide-angles, telephotos and prime lenses. These lenses bring out the very best image quality from the X-T10. Optional accessories such as mount adapters and macro extension tubes further broaden photographic potential.
With in-built Wi-Fi connectivity, users can transfer images and videos from the camera to a device of their preferred choice (PC, tablet, smartphone). The camera can also be controlled remotely using an android or iOS smartphone via FUJIFILM’s Camera Remote app.
The camera will be available in the UAE market in the end of June for approx.USD799/AED2,999(Body only)
