Facility Management Industry Estimated at AED 20 Billion in the UAE by 2015

MECTW’s International cleaning and hygiene conference set to address the mammoth growth foreseen in the industry
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - The Facilities Management industry has witnessed a boom in recent times as the industry is being estimated at AED 20 billion per annum by 2016. The rise stems from an AED 155bn turnover in the construction sector for the year of 2015 owing to the thriving construction, hospitality and aviation sectors in Dubai.
Rapid construction developments, building infrastructure for airports, roadways, parking, ports and railways have resulted in never-before demand for the facility management and its allied industries. Cleaning equipment and services is the foundation of a successfully sustainable facility management company.

For the first time in the International Cleaning and Hygiene Conference (ICHC), Dr. Ilham Kadri, the President of the Diversey Care division of Sealed Air Corp., will be presenting the Keynote Address. Other well-known companies from the cleaning and hygiene industry Intercare, Chemex, Daitona and Dhofar have already confirmed their participation in the Middle East Cleaning Technology Week.
In terms of development, cleaning and hygiene service providers should support various markets to achieve sustainability in order to maximize productivity. To attain sustainable solutions, companies should look at long term planning which strategies shouldn’t be limited to a building but should be extended to the city.

MECTW, which takes place from 2nd to 4th November, 2015 at, Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre offers a platform to promote scientific cleaning practices, latest products, technologies and services to potential buyers in the MENA region. For the first time, MECTW will make way for two new platforms – laundry and car wash – along with a special outdoor section dedicated to street cleaning solutions and equipment.
Middle East Cleaning Technology Week will also play host to the Excellence Awards that identifies the ‘difference makers’ in the hospitality, soft services FM and laundry industry. The Excellence Awards incorporates Categories for supervisors and attendants in all three sectors. Winners walk away with a cash prize and a certificate.
