UAE - March 29th, 2015 – DuPont, a leading market-driven science company, revealed the many benefits of the MECS® DynaWave® technology for Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU) applications, during their participation at the Sour Oil and Gas Advanced Technology 2015 (SOGAT), which was held recently at the Beach Rotana Hotel, Abu Dhabi. DynaWave® technology is the only industrial solution able to comply with SO2 emission regulations under any upstream circumstances of Sulphur Recovery Units (SRU) and/or Tail Gas Treatment Units (TGTU).
Yves Herssens, Global Market Leader – DuPont Clean Technologies said: “We are proud to present the DynaWave® solution for SRU applications, which represents our commitment to create innovative and inspiring cleaning solutions specifically designed to address the demands of oil and gas companies. The DynaWave® reverse jet scrubber aims to provide Sulphur Recovery Units (SRU) with a simple and highly flexible product that adheres to strict regulations aimed at enhancing the long term sustainability of today’s oil and gas industry and reduce the global environmental impact of SRU units.”
Increasingly rigid air pollution controls require refineries, power plants, chemical manufacturers, and cement kilns to remove acid gases and particulate matter from flue gas before releasing it to the atmosphere. Innovative technology by DuPont such as the DynaWave® cleaning solutions offer an established approach for hot gas quenching, acid gas absorption and particulate removal – all in one vessel. This product complies with SO2 emission regulations and can be applied to small, medium and large SRU units with a low capital expenditure, which will result in a smaller environmental footprint.
