Inspired by the Whimsical print heritage signature to the house of Herrera, Carolina Herrera introduces The Archive III Collection arriving Spring 2015. Pairing six of the most amusing and vibrant prints rediscovering from Carolina Herrera’s vast print library, with a range of sleek signature silhouettes. The collection includes shirt dresses, a pencil skirt, shorts and pants to sheath dresses, a woman t-shirt – all in cotton – and for the very first time: the introduction of swimwear, beach towels, and tote bags.

Each motif captures the eye with color and pattern – telling a story, evoking a memory, or inspiring a dream.

Gaspar Prints: Carolina Herrera’s Toy Poodle, Gaspar, has been her loyal companion for many years. Always by her side, both inside and outside the house of Herrera, his loving and quirky personality has been a source of inspiration. Accentuating his furry silhouette with touches of blue, the print brings a fun and playful spirit to any occasion, just like Gaspar!

Tango Dancers Prints: Inspired by the confident spirit of the early 20th Century, the Tango Dancer Print reflects the vibrant energy and sensual romance of the time. Bold Silhouette, heightened by Ruby Red and Sky Blue colors, celebrate the Joie de Vivre inherent in the passion of dance.

Parasol Print: Parasols represent the fleeting joy of serenity while basking in the beauty of a warm and gentle sun. Subtle hues evoke festive moment fully at ease; a paradise found among friends and loved ones in a carefree tropical setting. The Parasol Print was designed as a reminder to cherish those quiet moments of solace, uninterrupted by the everyday bustle, in the soft shade of warm sunshine.

Violet Print: Known for their sweet scent and bright colors, the Violet flower has long been considered a symbol of love. A flower that blooms during the crisp autumn weather and flourishes in the spring, serving as a reminder of the life that grows in the colder seasons and a call to hope for the beauty that lies ahead.

Bouquet Print: The fresh scent and delicate hues of a cabbage rose bouquet, a favorite of Carolina Herrera, offer drama to a table setting, elegance to a home or sincerity to a thank you. The essence of this flower, best expressed through the water colors of Jeremiah Goodman’s abstract painting, was the inspiration behind this whimsical Bouquet Print.

Mushroom Print: Within the scenic views and wandering hills of Klagenfurt, Austria, a favorite retreat of Carolina Herrera’s, lies wild mushrooms dotting the tree-lined pathways of wooded forests. A soft palette of dusty blue interspersed with the deep reds of jolly mushroom caps gives a nod to the pleasures found in nature. These quaint reminders of the simple beauty of nature’s gifts are a never ending source of inspiration for the designer.
