Dubai, UAE, 26 November, 2014: Dubai’s beach-loving ladies now have a premium boutique dedicated to distinctive, head-turning beachwear and loungewear.
Beach Bunny, the iconic swimwear brand from Orange County, California, has just opened its first Middle East store in the heart of Jumeirah, Dubai.
Since its launch in 2004, Beach Bunny has become an international sensation with its boudoir-inspired bikinis, cover-ups, ready-to-wear and accessories that appeal to glamorous women across the globe who love to stand out & make a bold statement. Extravagantly embellished with exquisite jewels, lace trim and unique elements never before seen on swimwear, the Beach Bunny collections range from playful to seriously sultry with seductive cuts and a variety of styles to flatter every figure.
The brains and body behind Beach Bunny is gorgeous, former swimsuit model Angela Chittenden. Due to her experience with hundreds of swimwear brands she always felt that there was something missing. “None of them ever felt right,” she recalls. “Either they were too conservative with too much coverage, or they weren’t very classy. There was nothing out there that was sexy and elegant so I decided to design my own.” Angela found inspiration in the bedroom blending elements from upscale lingerie into her designs. She knew she wanted to create something different, something special and “something that would let women show off their bodies, feel sexy and confident, glamorous, flirty and fun all at the same time.” Angela remembers with a sly smile “Some people said I was crazy, that my designs were too risky, too out-there to catch on. I guess they were wrong.”
It wasn’t long before Beach Bunny captured the attention of the fashion media and celebrity world. Sports Illustrated dedicated more pages of its Swimsuit issue to the brand than any other line and soon enough high-profile women like Jennifer Lopez, Fergie, Cindy Crawford, Eva Longoria, the Kardashians, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton and Jessica Alba, among many others were hitting the beaches in Beach Bunny. During Lady Gaga’s recent stay for her performance in the UAE, she treated herself to three Beach Bunny bikinis.
Located in the new Galleria Mall on Al Wasl Road, Beach Bunny’s boutique has been designed to invoke the feeling of being on a luxury yacht in the middle of the ocean. Portraits of the famous top models who have all stared in the brands campaigns like Iryna Shayk, Nina Adgal, Kate Upton, Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Joanna Krupa decorate the walls while the blue-painted high ceilings impart the sense of an azure sky. The velvet aqua-colored seating surrounding the coffee table made from a real ships propeller and lavish fuchsia curtains evoke a sumptuous nautical designer interior. Swimwear hanging from yacht ropes and portholes all around the boutique also add to the feeling of being “all aboard”.
Angela’s luxury beach attire first arrived in Dubai in 2006 and has been available at Rodeo Drive & Via Rodeo boutiques around the city ever since. The brand’s popularity inspired her to travel to Dubai several times during this period and she even develops several exclusive styles every season specifically for the UAE woman. The Dubai Beach Bunny store is the culmination of her great success and love for this part of the world.
Beach Bunny is now open at the Galleria Mall on Al Wasl Road in Jumeirah from 10 am to 10 pm Saturdays thru Wednesdays and from 10 am to midnight on Thursdays thru Saturdays. Tel: +971 4 343 4567
