Dubai, UAE, 25 November 2014: Dubai’s most hotly anticipated Christmas celebration returns soon for its third year with a host of spectacular new features. With snow forecast on the hour, every hour, and special appearances from Santa Claus himself, the show is set to be the main event for this year’s seasonal celebrations.
Running from 11-13 December at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, Dubai Christmas Fest will play host to more than fifteen magical attractions, including Aladdin and Genie’s Christmas Pantomime, a brand new Santa’s Grotto sponsored by M&M’s, a fun fair fit for young and old and a firm favourite from last year, Dubai’s big snowball fight.
With more than 100 brands, retailers, restaurants and participants confirmed for the show, visitors will be spoilt for choice with the selection of festive activities on offer.
Hot American brand C. Wonder is set to debut at the event this year with an array of bright and festive accessories to help add a stylish streak to your festivities. The pop-up shop will make the event experience sparkle with whimsical joy from its vibrant and elegant display of charming home ware, beautiful jewellery and signature tote bags.
The new Christmas Craft Theatre will be a sure fire hit with children and adults, as artistic experts will be on hand to help creativity flow. Visitors will have the chance to make Christmas truly personal this year, by decorating snow globes, Spin Ts, tree decorations and more. Expect lots of glitter and even some concentration. This is a lovely opportunity to make home-made gifts for family and friends.
Chris Fountain, Managing Director of Turret Media, the organisers of Dubai Christmas Fest said: “This year’s show is going to be the most festive yet as families, friends and loved ones come together to join in the Christmas spirit.
“I’m looking forward to the performances on the main stage which will include the team from Dubai 92 putting on fun interactive games and giveaways, as well as hearing Christmas carols from five different local schools. Make sure not to miss the daily Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at 6:00pm – it’s a really special experience and is guaranteed to give you a festive spring in your step.”
The Christmas Market this year will help visitors find the perfect gifts for loved ones from both global brands and local artisan designers, all offering seasonal discounts, promotions and special offers. Festive food will be delivered by Dubai favourites including The Gramercy, Sumo Sushi, Pizza Express and London Fish & Chips.
Crate and Barrel is back with plenty of holiday inspiration and gifting ideas. The magical charm of The Tree Lot experience, designed to help welcome joyful spirit into the home, is sure to be a big draw at this year’s event.
Tickets are now on sale for the Dubai Christmas Fest, with early bird offers until 26 November 2014. Two child entry passes are currently available for AED35, while a Gold Adult pass (two for AED160) will provide fast track entry, two drinks vouchers, a mince pie and a Santa’s hat as well as access to all festive features.
