University of Salford first to launch 5-day Mini-MBA in Abu Dhabi

UAE, November 19, 2014 - The University of Salford is launching its Mini-MBA course in Abu Dhabi and is the first university to offer such a programme in the Emirates.

Now, business men and women from across Abu Dhabi will, for the first time, be able to receive MBA-level teaching from UK university academics and practitioners in an intensive five-day programme of learning. The first mini-MBA sessions from the University will be delivered between April 19 and 23 2015.

The University’s Mini-MBA was developed by Salford Business School and is delivered by the same academics who teach on the Business School’s MBA programme in the UK. It offers a blend of academic and practical teaching that has been designed specifically to provide the key skills, content and concepts that are expected from a full MBA. 

Salford Professional Development Chief Operating Officer (COO), Stuart Wells, said: “The Mini-MBA is the perfect option for business executives who are seeking to improve their knowledge across to MBA but who are limited by and budgets and time constraints.

But the condensed nature of the course doesn’t reduce the quality of content or teaching. It offers delegates an extremely challenging experience that will equip them with the business skills and knowledge they need to succeed in business in 2015 and beyond.”

As well as the mini-MBA, the University is also team+ing up with two high-profile industry partners to deliver a unique collaborative approach to CPD in Abu Dhabi.

The University will be offering a Crisis PR and Media Training course that is being delivered in association with Bauer Academy. Bauer Academy is part of Bauer Media Group which is one of the world’s largest media organisations.

And one of the UK’s leading management and leadership training organisations, The Pacific Institute, is also delivering several courses in partnership with the University. These include executive and inspiring leadership programmes in sectors such as healthcare and education.

Altogether the University will be delivering 15 CPD courses across some of the university’s key areas of expertise, including gas and petroleum, health and social care, media and digital business and leadership.
