Dubai, UAE, October 28th, 2014: With increase in trade and investment opportunities, Dubai’s preparation for Expo 2020 and Abu Dhabi looking to leap to the top 50 busiest global meetings destination in next 5 years, UAE’s Events industry is witnessing growth. Business events, trade exhibitions, arts and music festivals, film festivals, concerts, sports tournaments will keep the country’s events calendar busy till the next summer.
To bring together any small or large event, skilled talent is essential at the backend as well as front line. Dulsco, the leading providers of human resource solutions and waste management services, has been supporting the events and exhibitions industry for the last 10 years and has seen the industry mature into an important contributor to UAE’s economy. Dulsco stated that the company has been witnessing 35% increase in demand for skilled talent, significantly driven by the events season in the UAE.
“Exhibitors from various industries from across the globe are currently sourcing qualified support staff for their forthcoming events. We have seen a huge demand for temporary staff since the beginning of August. UAE has seen a steady surge in the number of events over the years and this has opened up new avenues for temporary staffing solutions. Due to the current exhibition and events framework in the UAE, industries such as real estate, hospitality, retail, technology, leisure and entertainment creates more short term staffing opportunities in the market,” said Prakash Parab, Director, HR Solutions.
To meet the current needs of the exhibitions industry, Dulsco provides services that include qualified and skilled talent across various categories like cashiers, promoters, ushers, backend support staff, hostesses, loaders, helpers and drivers. Apart from this, Dulsco also supports the event industry with on-site medical kiosks, first aid, emergency & evacuation support, recycling and waste management support.
“Exhibitors plan for months so that they get the returns on their investment. Having trained staff is always a competitive advantage and can lead the event organizers closer to its objectives. We have been providing event organizers with high quality, trained, reliable, professional support staff for the past several years. To ensure the quality, we thoroughly train our candidates prior to placement and systematically screen all of them. Our training sessions are extensive and exhaustive which are comprehensive in nature to coach and groom the candidates. In addition, the deployment at the large events are supported by our qualified on ground events coordination crew. This is definitely viewed as a value addition by most of our clients,” added Prakash.
“Today there is a heightened level of awareness on the concept of people outsourcing, hence many companies are outsourcing their non-core roles. In a recently concluded leading electronics exhibition, Dulsco provided more than 500 skilled resources across various categories. On a regular basis we support companies from FMCG, Retail electronics and other sectors. New companies entering the market also benefit by outsourcing their people requirements to us.
