400 students of Class of 2014 graduate from Manipal University Dubai campus
At a glittering convocation ceremony at the Ritz Carlton, DIFC, more than 400 students graduated on Saturday (October 18, 2014) from Manipal University’s Dubai Campus and set forth on their respective journey to fame, glory and being global citizens, just like the thousands who preceded them.
The occasion couldn’t have been more inspiring. The young graduates accepted their degrees in the presence of several luminaries including, Chief Guest, Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, & Former Chairman of ISRO and ex-Planning Commission Member of Government of India – Padma Vibhushan Dr. K. Kasturirangan, His Excellency Mr. TP Seetharam, Ambassador of India to the UAE and Guest of Honour, Chancellor of Manipal University, India – Padma Shri Dr. Ramdas Pai, Chief Guest Padma Vibhushan and Former Chairman of ISRO and Planning Commission Member Dr Kasturirangan, Vice Chancellor Dr. Ramnarayan K, and a host of other leading dignitaries from the world of education and business.
“ Over the past several decades, we at Manipal has been inspiring lives. It is what we do best. Our 400,000 + Alumni who are making a qualitative difference in their areas of work or business, are testament to that. I am certain this batch of graduates and post graduates will do an encore. I wish them well as they embark on their journey to becoming successful entrepreneurs, leaders and global citizens”, added Padma Shri Dr Ramdas Pai and Chancellor, Manipal University India.
