Abu Dhabi-UAE: 13 October, 2014 - Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) illuminated its iconic Capital Gate in pink colours to celebrate Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai's win of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize.

At 17-years old, Yousafzai is the youngest person to receive the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize.

ADNEC's celebratory gesture honours the role Yousafzai has played in spreading a global message of peace and raising awareness on the importance of female education and opportunity – a message to which the UAE is as committed.

Capital Gate - the 35-storey record breaking leaning tower - is globally recognised as one of Abu Dhabi's most iconic architectural masterpieces.
