New award will document landmark achievements, humanitarian stories and professional experiences that have shaped Dubai Police since 1956.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 19 July 2026: Dubai Police, in partnership with Erth Dubai, has launched the Dubai Police Heritage Award, a new initiative dedicated to preserving the force's institutional and human legacy by documenting the stories, achievements and experiences that have shaped its journey over the past seven decades.
The award was announced following the signing of a memorandum of understanding at the Dubai Police Officers Club. The agreement was signed by Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansoori, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness, on behalf of Dubai Police, and Ahmed Saeed Al Sharid, General Coordinator of Erth Dubai.
Brigadier Al Mansoori said the initiative was launched under the directives of Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander in Chief of Dubai Police, as part of the force's commitment to safeguarding the legacy of an organisation established in 1956.
He said the partnership will help preserve stories of dedication, pioneering achievement and professional excellence contributed by generations of Dubai Police personnel across operational and administrative fields.
These contributions have supported Dubai's development as a global benchmark for safety and security while helping the force deliver outstanding community services through sustained innovation and professionalism.
The award also recognises individuals whose dedication has shaped the history of Dubai Police, while preserving key milestones and inspiring stories that can transfer knowledge and experience to future generations.
Participants are encouraged to submit documented success stories, humanitarian initiatives, pioneering projects and professional experiences that have made a lasting contribution to Dubai Police and its institutional values.
The award also aims to establish a sustainable knowledge archive of Dubai Police's policing and community legacy, promote a culture of documentation and innovation, and recognise individuals whose achievements have left a lasting impact on the organisation.
Ahmed Saeed Al Sharid said the award reflects Dubai Police's strong institutional commitment to documenting its history and preserving its legacy for future generations.
He added that the partnership aligns with Erth Dubai's vision of engaging government entities and the wider community in documenting Dubai's collective memory, protecting national identity and highlighting the human stories that enrich the emirate's historical archive.
Dubai Police has invited eligible participants to submit entries through the Dubai Police page on the Erth Dubai platform, in accordance with the approved categories and evaluation criteria.
The force described the award as a platform that celebrates dedication, preserves history and ensures that inspiring stories remain a lasting part of Dubai Police's legacy.
