Gulf Care International’s new partner, Lurie Children’s Hospitalhas 130 years experience in caring for the most complex pediatric patients

In yet another success story, another little girl had to be rushed 6,500km to Chicago after she started throwing up blood. A blood clot was blocking her liver, and a complex surgical procedure called a Rex Shunt was urgently required to save her life. The hospital was the very first in North America to perform this procedure, with a 91% success rate. In less than a week the girl had been discharged. Whereas previously she had been unable to take part in physical activity, she now excels in volleyball and other sports.
