University of Dubai signs agreement with National Charity Schools to encourage cooperation at all levels

Dubai, August 27, 2014: In line with its strategy of expanding cooperation with leading educational institutions in the UAE, the University of Dubai has signed an agreement with National Charity Schools in the presence of Dr. Eesa Bastaki, President of University of Dubai, and Dr. Kamal Mohammed Farhat, Director-General of the National Charity Schools.
The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the two sides on the academic field, executive development programs, research, seminars, and conferences in order to develop the education process at all levels.
With the signing of the agreement, all students passing out of National Charity Schools as well as teachers and administrators at the institution will benefit from 20 per cent discount on tuition fees at the University of Dubai. The agreement has also established lectures that enables students make the right choice of academic discipline for university studies. It also facilitates the transition of the students to the university at a stage of education other than secondary education.
Dr. Bastaki said cooperation with the National Charity Schools is part of the University of Dubai’s effort to support and develop university education opportunities for school students based on highest standards. He added that the University of Dubai is keen to provide educational services to schools in the areas of academic and vocational training as well as professional development.
Dr. Farhat said: "The signing of a cooperation agreement with the University of Dubai meets the aspirations of the founder of the National Charity Schools, H.E. Juma Al Majid to enable the school graduates to complete their university studies in prestigious universities and prepare the right talent for the requirements of the labor market. The future graduates not only serve their family and community but also contribute to building the future of the country.”
Dr. Farhat added: “The cooperation with the University of Dubai will create opportunities in vocational training and exchange of visits and sharing of knowledge in all fields. I also thank the President of the University of Dubai, Dr Eesa Bastaki for cooperating with us, to achieve the goals established by the founder of the National Charity Schools almost 30 years ago.”
