Selling unwanted household items made easy, The Auction House Dubai is launching after Eid – with auctions every weekend

The Auction House Dubai is a brand new service launching in Dubai that allows residents to auction selected household goods in a fun environment attracting many prospective buyers. It is a great alternative to buying and selling without the usual trauma of scanning the local small ads or the Internet, then trying to negotiate the best price.

“This is the emirate’s first and only specialized auction venue dedicated to all types of quality pre-owned household and electrical goods, and garden furniture,” says General Manager Francis Morgan. “We will host two auctions every Friday and two on Saturday. One is for goods with a guide price value under Dhs1,000, and the other for items over Dhs1,000. Whatever you’re in the market for, whether it’s a bookcase, a sofa or a widescreen TV, these will be bought and sold here every weekend.”

Offering goods for auction is simple. Just contact The Auction House Dubai on 800 8243, or via info@theauctionhousedubai.com, for a free appraisal to set the minimum reserve price. If agreed, a collection time will be decided, and the goods taken to the dedicated 10,000 sq. ft. auction house space in Al Quoz 4, ready for the next auction. “We have up to 400 lots per auction – that’s 800 per day and 1,600 per weekend!” Francis continues.

In the week preceding the auction, a catalogue will be made available, in print and online via The Auction House Dubai website, containing color images and descriptions of each lot. With the warehouse open on weekdays, from Sunday-Thursday 11am-8pm, there is also a chance for buyers to inspect the items beforehand. On the day, each lot will be placed physically into the auction venue, with buyers raising their paddles to place the highest bid. The successful bidder can then arrange the delivery of their purchase, with the money passed on to the seller, minus a small commission fee.

“Our auctions are a lot of fun, and a great way to spend time with family and friends,” Francis adds. “We’ll be launching on the first Friday after Eid, and all are welcome, with drinks and snacks provided by our partner More Café. The Auction House Dubai is very interested in charity auctions, and giving back to the community as part of our CSR awareness.
