Abu Dhabi-UAE: 31 May, 2014 - ADNOC Distribution has appointed Diyar United Company as the selected partner for turnkey solutions for its retail service stations project.
Diyar United Company is a leading regional company that adopts the highest international quality standards and maintains a strong portfolio of best-in-class technology solutions. Diyar is reputed for providing innovative services and industry specific solutions to the oil, government, e-government, homeland security, telecommunication, as well as transportation and health sectors.
The agreement with ADNOC Distribution mandates Diyar United Company to deploy a comprehensive forecourt management system manufactured by German leader Wincor Nixdorf. Diyar will also facilitate access to Hectronic’s RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system. The four year contract will engage Diyar United’s involvement during the roll out of the project in the first two years. This tenure will be followed by two years of post-implementation maintenance and support.
His Excellency Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, Chief Executive Officer, ADNOC Distribution, said: “We are confident Diyar United Company is the ideal partner to complete this landmark project not just for ADNOC Distribution but for the service station industry as a whole. The new technology and automation will provide significant benefits to our customers and stakeholders as we move forward in implementing smart service stations. As part of our commitment to our customers ADNOC Distribution prioritizes the implementation of the most advanced solutions available towards ensuring high reliability and excellent performance.”
Al Dhaheri added: “We seek to bring about a paradigm shift in the operations of service stations by introducing all-round customer service capabilities. ADNOC Distribution has always been at the forefront of deploying pioneering technologies for the benefit of our customers. Program SMART comes as part of this vision to enhance overall customer experience through the delivery of innovative solutions.”
Bashar Atout, Chief Executive Officer, Diyar United Company, said: “We are privileged to be named as ADNOC Distribution’s trusted partner in the Program SMART initiative that is set to transform petrol stations into smart service stations. We are excited to collaborate on this project not merely as a technology enabler, but with a view to providing smart and sustainable services capable of supporting the anticipated economic growth fueled by the strategic vision of the UAE leadership. We aim to implement dynamic solutions that support ADNOC Distribution’s passion for innovation and leadership while offering quality customer service, all within the stipulated time frame. Our team is fully committed to meet and exceed ADNOC Distribution’s expectations and the project’s requirements.”
Initiated earlier this year to bring about a paradigm shift in the operations of service stations by introducing all-round customer service capabilities, the retail service station program is built around the three components of design, enable and assure to include business processes, architectural layout marketing, health, safety, security and environment technology solutions, network, RFID tag installation centers, certification, and service station roll-outs.
