AED 8.5 Million Contributed to Thamer Salman Fund for Educational Solidarity “Your Share. Your Care”

Under the patronage and presence of His Highness Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, Ajamn University’s Thamer Salman Fund for Educational Solidarity organized an event entitled “Your Share. Your Care” to renew AUST’s commitment to educational solidarity.

During the event H.H Sheikh Rashid announced a generous contribution by His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, with a plot of land and AED 3 million for the development of an endowment fund. He praised the efforts exerted by AUST in establishing the Fund and widening its outreach.

Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, AUST Vice-President welcomed the guests and expressed his utmost appreciation for the gracious attendance and received the contributions on behalf of the Fund. He also reiterated his dedication to educational solidarity to ensure that AUST students will be able to enjoy a hurdle free tenure during their academic life.

The guests expressed their appreciation and celebrated the beautiful memories they hold of Thamer Salman by sharing their views. Amongst them was researcher Dr. Mouza Gabaash, renowned Saudi media personalities, Mr. Turki Dukhail, and Dr. Sulaiman Hatlan.

Mr. Abdulla Salman, manager of Thamer Salman, announced the generous contributions. The first contribution was from the family of late Thamer Salman, with AED 2 million, followed by Ajman University’s contribution of AED 1 million. The total contributions for Thamer Salman Fund for Educational Solidarity exceeded AED 8.5 million.

Mr. Abdullah Salman, expressed his appreciation for the endorsement of the very spirit for which the Fund was created. “Supporting the students when and where they are hindered not only assists them to further the course of their education but also encourages them to pursue a hassle free path towards their goals, knowing well that the University is alongside them at the time of need. Since its inception Thamer Fund has assisted one third of the applications received and aims to benefit the maximum number of students.”
