DUBAI, UAE 17 April, 2014 – SanDisk, the global leader in flash memory, has been named ‘Flash Storage Brand of the Year' at the 2014 VAR Choice of Channel (COC) Awards, held at Meydan Hotel last month.
The channel voted for the brand that it perceived to offer a great range of flash storage products, from USB drives to SD cards and storage accessories. The fiercely contested category included high profile nominees from other leading retail vendors. The voting process was conducted via surveys, both online and offline, with over 1000 people voting for their favourite brands, reflecting the channel's preference.
“This award is a clear vindication of SanDisk's strong presence in the region along with the faith in our technology from our valued partners,” Tareq Husseini, Regional Sales Director Mediterranean Middle East and Africa at SanDisk. “Our main aim is to work closely with Middle East distributors and retailers alike, to persistently ensure the ongoing development of the channel.”
