Toshiba introduces the ultra-portable business device, Portégé R30

Dubai, UAE, 17th April 2014 – Toshiba Gulf FZE launches today the Portégé R30, a 13.3-inch laptop that at merely 1.5kg is complete with features and functionalities which are essential for business. Powered by the latest Intel® Core™ Quad Core processors, the Portégé R30 gives consistently fast performance and saves energy at the same time, making it the ideal laptop for professionals on the move. It is now available in the market.

The non-reflective, LED-backlit display on the 13.3-inch Portégé R30 makes it ideal for small group meetings. Because of the anti-glare coating, text and images on the HD display with a 1366x768 resolution remain readable and vibrant when viewed from different angles both indoors and outdoors.

For larger group meetings that require a bigger screen, the Portégé R30 features an RGB port so users can connect to projectors, and an HDMI port which can be used to connect to an HDTV.

So that presentations can have their full impact on the audience, the Portégé R30 is equipped with high quality stereo speakers enhanced by DTS Studio Sound™, a technology that helps deliver immersive audio complete with deep bass, refined midrange and more intelligible vocals for natural-sounding music tracks and sound clips.

Convenience and Connectivity
Built for productivity, the Portégé R30 comes with an Accupoint for improved usability so multitasking becomes faster and easier. Empowering users to work efficiently on-the-go, it also has a backlit keyboard that makes typing effortless under varied lighting conditions.
The Portégé R30 saves users the effort of carrying extra adapters to meetings with a built-in optical drive, LAN port and SD connections in addition to the RGB and HDMI ports. It also features the latest versions of WiFi and Bluetooth® including three USB 3.0 ports that allow users to backup and transfer files easily and quickly.

Lightweight but tough, the Portégé R30 has a magnesium chassis for reinforced durability. This robust build is complemented with a security system that includes both software and hardware solutions. A fingerprint reader and the Trusted Platform Module prevent unauthorised access to documents and personal data, while Toshiba EasyGuard® supports hardware components against the stress and hazards of continuous mobile usage.
