Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 25th March 2014 – Xerox Emirates, a joint venture between Xerox Corporation and Mohamed Hareb Al Otaiba, recently launched the Wide Format IJP 2000 enabling Xerox Emirates to keep up with the growing demand for large posters, signs, point-of-purchase graphics and banners in the UAE.
“The growing economy in the Middle East has fueled the printing market to a great extent. The launch of the IJP 2000 is a platform for Xerox Emirates to reenter the large format print arena and set new benchmarks in quality, speed and provide our customers with huge competitive advantages.” stated Andrew Horne, General Manager, Xerox Emirates.
Potential IJP 2000 application providers have the option of collaborating with other small format production devices from Xerox enabling them to offer a one stop convenience print shop to their customers. With the increasing demand for printing in the MENA region, the IJP 2000 will prove to be highly efficient within the large format arena in producing value added services to its customers.
Key features of the IJP 2000 device include:
•Faster print speeds: Complete jobs more than 40 times faster than comparable wide format systems (up to 4,520 square feet/420 square meters per hour). That means high-quality, colour signs can be printed in five seconds, 30 foot banners in one minute and production runs of 200 prints in about 20 minutes. Increased speed means printers can accept and produce more jobs, even last minute requests
•Stationary print heads: Allow the paper to move under five print heads in one single pass; fewer moving parts mean better speed and less maintenance.
