Ambulatory Healthcare Services Completes Phase-1 Renovation of Abu Dhabi Dental Center

Abu Dhabi-UAE: 24 March, 2014 – Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS), a SEHA health system facility, today opened the Abu Dhabi Dental Center following the completion of phase-1 of renovation work. 

Rashid Saif Al Qubaisi, Chief Executive Officer of SEHA, and Mohamad Hawas Al Sadid, CEO, AHS, attended the opening event along with senior members of the AHS executive management team.

The renovation includes the construction of new office spaces for administrative uses as well as male and female waiting areas, including rest rooms.  Phase-2 and Phase-3 of the renovation work will focus on the upgrade of medical facilities at the center namely the setting up of a dental laboratory as well as a Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) that serves as an integrated facility for the sterilization of medical devices, equipment and consumables.

In 2013, AHS successfully completed the full expansion and renovation of its Mafraq Dental Center at a total cost of AED17 million. The entire renovation work was completed over a period of three years.

Abu Dhabi Dental Center is one of AHS’ centers across the emirate of Abu Dhabi exclusively dedicated to dentistry and dental health services. The departments at Abu Dhabi Dental Center include endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, implantology, oral surgery, general dentistry, dental specialty, pediatric dentistry and dental radiology. Abu Dhabi Dental Center opens from 7:00am to 10:00pm, Sundays to Thursdays.
