The leading US weight loss program sets it’s first international branch in Dubai

DUBAI, February 26, 2013 – Leading medical weight loss brand, Medi-Weightloss® sets today its first international brand in Dubai.

Originally from US, Medi-Weightloss® has over 80 outlets in operation since 2005, where it helped patients to lose more than 1.2 Million Kg. The leading US brand chooses Dubai to open its first international branch as obesity is the fastest growing health problem in the region. “We are excited about the tremendous opportunity internationally. I founded Medi-Weightloss® with hopes of providing a sound program for medical providers to combat the United States obesity epidemic. Offering a three-phase split program, namely Acute, Short-Maintenance and Wellness, Medi-Weightloss® is a physician supervised weight loss program. With the consultation of a Medical Doctor and an expert nutritionist the Medi-Weightloss® program is largely dependent on the concept of self-discipline, nutrition and fitness rather than artificial and short-term solutions.

Sonia Laflamme is the Leading Dietician for Medi-Weightloss® Middle East. Sonia achieved her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Université de Montréal, Canada and completed her Dietetic Internship at St. Justine’s pediatric hospital in Montreal. She is also certified in Adult Weight Management by the American Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
