Mauzan gives you its new Spring-Summer 2014 collection for the modern woman inspired by the femininity of the Arab woman and her desire to wear trendy clothes while respecting her country’s customs and traditions. Mauzan’s collections include a variety of abaya designs that highlight the care and dedication designer Rafia Helal Bin Drai puts into creating innovative designs that reflect the Arab woman’s great sense of style.
Miss Mauzan
Hand-tailoring is one of the most important features of Miss Mauzan SS2014. The collection featured a burst of crochet floral embroideries beautifully spread in blue, red and purple on the abayas. The abaya designs were mainly black with a hint of purple, dark blue, beige, brown or grey, to name a few.The fabrics varied between crepe, crochet, Geber lace, Jacquard and many more. The collection creatively delivers a wide range of distinct designs to suit every taste.
Mauzan SS2014
The collection featured designs embellished with pearls and crystals cascading along the abayas with extreme elegance and femininity. Sensuality was expressed through the finest sheer lace fabrics, while variety was highlighted by the collars, as some of them were v-shaped while others hugged the neck. What sets Rafia Helal Bin Drai apart from other designers is her ability to blend different fabrics. For this season, she chose to mix lace with crepe and chiffon with black crepe. The black lace abayas are the perfect example of the delicate handwork and the house’s craftsmanship.
