Boggi Milano SS 2014 preview
Last Update: Tuesday, January 7, 2014 : 22:09 (+4GMT)
Boggi Milano SS14 collection is cheerful and particularly willing for a change – a jubilation of bright colors from coats and jackets to the accessories.
Suits characterized by 2 buttons with varied fits and revers, ticket pockets and boat-shaped breast pockets. This offer constantly embodies a sober elegance, ranging from grey plaster shades to several shades blue, from light blue to cobalt blue.
A selection of fabrics of very high level was carried out amongst the best Biella woolen mills. This includes variations with high yarn counts and silk blend fabrics exclusively for Boggi Milano.
A “come back” of patterns for Prince of Wales jackets, vicky and over check jackets which characterize woolen blazers, silk or linen blend blazers also available on brighter shades. Unlined items and ultra-light insides also for the shirt jackets with jacquard fabrics and for the garment dyed jackets – available with flower patterns inside or in very bright colors, in linen and cotton structured fabrics.
The garment dyed trousers are characterized by the same flower pattern in the part inside of the belts or within the pocket bags which, if left out, turn into nice clutches.
The “Urban motor jacket” is the new must-have of the collection, a waterproof jacket with ad-hoc designed details, such as the belt and the windproof cuffs as well as the reflecting stripes easy to hide.
The classic shirt is enriched with false united and structured fabrics. Micro jacquard patterns confer brightness to patterned and plain fabrics, whilst mono color, two-colored and striped off macro checks contribute to refreshing the collection. The new shirts with a classic fit are made with linen/combined cotton and patterns, for a refined and modern effect. The “New Classic” shirts, with a less formal look, are made with light and fresh poplin 100 fabrics. Wide offer of micro motifs for shirts made with poplin 90 – fresh and silky.
Particular attention is paid to polo shirts and long sleeve polo shirts, to be worn under a blazer for a casual look. Honeycomb structures, linen/cotton piqué and bright colors characterize the polo offer, still maintaining a sophisticated taste.
Concerning the classic knitwear, linen/cotton in mélange color are introduced, and silk/cashmere for light and refined sweaters.
As usual, a selection of accessories cannot miss to complete the collection, which ranges from linen or pure silk clutches to socks characterized by the collection patterns. Wide offer of suede moccasins, nappa leather and saffiano leather moccasins.
BM39 SS 2014
The BM39 SS 2014 collection is subdivided into 5 main themes: colors, soccer, nautical, blue on blue and urban explorer.
COLORS
The colored shirts, both plain color and patterned fabrics, are made more casual, fresh and summery by different types of washing. Ribbons, small fluo details, micro prints in coupe thread confer modernity and revive the items. For a sport chic mood, collars and flaps become “minimal”.
SOCCER
Colorful Polo shirts and T-shirts are enriched by patches and embroideries of the flags of the countries of the world, specifically studied for the next football world cup which will be held in Brazil.
NAUTICAL
The nautical theme, evergreen of this line, characterizes polo shirts, shirts and Bermuda shorts with the typical sail flavor. Pique sweatshirts for lighter and more refined items are characterized by embroideries and accessories from the nautical world.
BLUE ON BLUE
Plain denims, printed and jacquard denims to be worn with modern and refined shirts. Denim chambray Bermuda shorts, polo shirts and T-shirts complete the “BOGGI BLUE” theme.
URBAN EXPLORER
Items are characterized by fabrics such as linen, linen/cotton and iridescent cottons in neutral colors. Ultralight shirts, polo shirts and T-shirts in iridescent jersey, linen shirts manufactured in different ways (Irish linen, fil-a-fil linen, plated linen) reflect a casual mood with a natural aspect. Hunter green and sand-colored trousers and Bermuda shorts in linen/cotton complete the collection.
