Alfred Basbous Bronze Collection to be Exhibited at the Opera Gallery in Dubai

With the highly appreciated support of the Consul General of Lebanon in Dubai and Northern Emirates, Mr. Sami Nmeir, the Alfred Basbous Foundation and the world Lebanese Cultural Union, the Opera Gallery Dubai will pay tribute to the late highly acclaimed Lebanese Sculptor, Alfred Basbous by exhibiting his popular bronze collection.
The exhibition will take place at Opera Gallery Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) from January 8 to 18, 2014. It will bring together around 40 sculptures from bronze medium designs and metal medium masterpieces offering art lovers, art professionals, art collectors, journalists, tourists and the glamorous crowd the opportunity to explore the aesthetic and unique world of Alfred Basbous. The curator, Fadi Alfred Basbous stated, “In 1998, we showcased the creations of Alfred Basbous at Abu Dhabi Cultural Center drawing an overwhelming crowd to celebrate the artist exceptional talent. This significant success will definitely be revived this year thanks to the genuine and passionate support of Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan and Mr. Albert Matta, the President of the World Lebanese Cultural Union”.
Alfred Basbous Foundation embraces the mission of being a pioneer in contemporary sculptures in Lebanon and devotes all its resources to promote his work and philosophy brining modern arts to the attention of a growing public.
The Alfred Basbous Bronze collection exhibition will run from January 8-18 at the Opera Gallery in the Gate Village, Building 3, at the Dubai International Financial Centre, Sundays through Wednesday 10am -10pm. Thursdays, 10 am – 12 pm and Friday -Saturday 11 am – 9 pm.
