AUST coaches its female students on Women's Personal Leadership

A woman's personal development is a vital requirement for her success in life, both personally and professionally. The ability of self-management is the first essential step towards building administrative leaderships with the capacity to make changes and overcome contemporary challenges. Through effective self-management, personal and organizational relations can be built, developed and enriched, so as to ensure the objectives and visions are realized smoothly with reduced obstacles and risks.
To promote this vital aspect of our graduates and graduating students, the Alumni Association of Ajman University of Science & Technology organized a seminar entitled, "Building Women's Personal Leadership in an Era of Challenges," which was facilitated by family and personal counselor, Mrs. Hanadi Al-Jabr.
The seminar was designed to:
- Provide the participants with the essential skills necessary for women to discover their inner selves and be able to articulate a clear vision and message at personal, family, social and organizational levels.
- Introduce the participants to the fundamentals of positive thinking, planning and self-organization to acquire better capacities of self-management.
- Learn the fundamentals of communication, i.e. self-communication, communication with others, and ability to lead.
- Introduce the participants to the fundamentals of self-management strategies.
Rave feedback came from the participants who mutually agreed that such seminars and workshops greatly influences them and encourages positive outcome in both personal and social affairs.
Dr. Ahmed Ankit, assistant to the University President for External Relations, honored Mrs. Hanadi Al Jabr for her valuable contribution to the society at large and the specific knowledge that she imbedded in AUST alumni through her seminars and workshops. He emphasized the importance of personal leadership for women, an empowered woman means a sound home and a harmonious society, he explained.
