Live Zumba classes, floatation pods and rock climbing take centre stage at new lifestyle event

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 6 November 2013: Celebrate UAE National Day with Abu Dhabi Alive – the new fitness and lifestyle event in the UAE will be bursting with ways to educate and inspire everyone to become fitter, healthier and stronger.  Abu Dhabi Alive will kick off at the Zayed Sports City in the UAE capital from 27 to 30 November.

Whether you are looking to start off a new, healthy lifestyle, or wishing to maintain and elevate your body fitness, Abu Dhabi Alive will support you achieving your goals through offering you free consultations, fun activities, and giveaways that will help you learn about and put into practice to improve your daily routine.

Principal Sponsor Activelife by Daman will be offering free body composition assessments, live Zumba classes, free gifts for visitors when they play the ‘wheel of health' game as well as performing live street dancing shows on stage

Abu Dhabi Sports Council will also be on hand throughout the exhibition promoting their vision of using the culture of sport professionalism, as well as systematic performance methods, to create a sport-proactive environment that will provide ample opportunities to develop sport and investment in Abu Dhabi.

Gold's Gym International, the largest international gym chain in the world, is the latest exhibitor to confirm their participation in Abu Dhabi Alive, where its representatives will be hosting live fitness classes and giving away free memberships to two lucky visitors hoping to improve their outer and inner strengths.

Abu Dhabi Alive will also feature the challenging Adventure HQ's climbing wall – a simulated rock formation affixed with numerous hand and foot holds that provides mental and physical tests to build strength, endurance, and self-confidence – an ideal activity to challenge yourself, your family, and friends.

The UAE's first and only floatation centre will be raising awareness about the benefits of floatation for the body and mind. Dr. Asma Inamdar, Specialist in Ayurvedic and Holistic Medicine, Point Zero Floatation said: “Our mission is to provide residents of Abu Dhabi with an alternative medical facility, offering natural healthy practices for a better lifestyle. Our three mediums of Floatation Therapy, Ayurveda and Body Works intertwine together to help analyse the body as a whole.”  Visitors who book a floatation treatment during Abu Dhabi Alive will be eligible for a 10 per cent discount. 

Lotus Holistic Alternative Medical Centre will also be on site promoting their holistic concepts which aim to help prevent stress and disease caused by life in the fast lane. Visitors can learn how traditional Chinese medicine, Reiki and homeopathy can improve their quality of life.

The Original Fitness Co. will have various fitness challenges on offer for visitors to find out how fit they actually are.  Day one of Abu Dhabi Alive will feature the feared ‘bleep test', day two will test the obstacle course, day three will see visitors ‘planking' to work out their core and day four will include a two-minute burpee test. 

Other exhibitors signed up include diet centre Slim'n Lite, who will be offering live cooking demonstrations, Natural Care from Jordan which will be giving out free medical and cosmetic product samples, Palmer's Cocoa Butter, one of the world's leading skin care brands, RSU Healthcare which will provide free eye screening tests, and UNICEF, which will offer advice specifically for children.

The show will open from 11:00 – 20:00 every day.  Free entry is available to everyone, while a charge of only AED5 for one day is applied to those who wish to use the facilities such as the bowling centre, tennis courts, beach tennis and rugby field, usually only accessible to the public for prices ranging from AED20 to AED650 per hour. 
A multiple day pass, inclusive of facility access, is only AED10, while those who register in advance on www.abudhabialive.ae will gain free entry including access to all facilities.
