Dubai Health Authority observes Flag Day

United Arab Emirates, Dubai, November 6, 2013: In line with the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the DHA hoisted the UAE flag at 12 noon today to join the Flag Day celebrations taking place across the country.
His Excellency Engineer Essa Al Maidoor, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority hoisted the UAE flag in presence of DHA employees. All Federal departments and ministries hoisted the flag simultaneously at 12 noon today as a symbol of unification of the UAE's flag across all its land and buildings.
Al Maidoor said: “The flag is a symbol of our love and respect for our country and its leaders. We pledge to continue working towards the development of our country and
the Flag Day is an opportunity for those working at the Dubai Health Authority to work harder. We are proud of our leaders and our country and we thank HH Sheikh Mohammed for launching the Flag Day campaign.”
Flag Day falls on November 3, the day of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan's accession as President of the UAE and is being celebrated across the country on the 6th of November.
Employees working at the DHA gathered at the DHA headquarters where the Flag Day ceremony took place. They expressed their patriotism, love and affection for the UAE by wearing scarves in the colours of the UAE flag -red, green, white and black – as a show of national unity. Employees also put up the UAE national flag in their offices and the Flag Day celebration took place with much fanfare and enthusiasm.
