Dubai-UAE: 30 October 2013 – Awareness about the benefits of adopting a healthy lifestyle is at an all-time high in the region and the UAE leads the way by creating an environment conducive to encouraging physical activity amongst its residents. Promoting a sporting culture replete with international events and championships, as well as world-class facilities to engage communities, and building an appreciation for fitness and sports has become a top priority towards bringing about sustainable change in the health and wellness of the nation's population.
Endorsing this view, the Landmark Group has created Sports One, a multi-brand, multi-category sporting goods retail venture to offer residents of the UAE a diversity of sporting lifestyle options. Growing its presence across new locations in the country, the innovative one-stop-shop concept for all hard and soft line sporting gear is committed to fostering a healthy and active community in the GCC region.
Shivam Goyal, Business Head, Sports One, said: “Consumers in the region are ready for a dedicated sports retail experience, which offers a wide selection of brands and caters to the needs of amateur and professional athletes alike. We have introduced over 40 new brands for the first time to the region, with great personality and specialized solutions. We are confident that sports enthusiasts will love having access to all these unique brands at great value for money.”
Catering to the needs of amateur and professional athletes alike, Sports One's impressive array of over 100 international and regional brands of sporting apparel and accessories is designed to dress people for a more outdoorsy life. For those who enjoy rigorous workouts, the concept houses team sports and home gymnasium equipment, bicycles and skates, swimwear and pool accessories, indoor and outdoor sports gear.
With separate sports apparel and footwear sections dedicated to men, women and children, the concept hopes to reach out to all ages and sections of the community, encouraging people across the spectrum to adopt a healthier lifestyle through indoor and outdoor sports. Each outlet includes a swimwear section complete with trial rooms that guarantee total privacy.
Among the international brands that are exclusive to Sports One are Schwinn & Diamond Back bikes, Lining Sportswear, Soybu Yoga Apparel, Island Haze, Maui and Stream Machine swim products, accessories such as Polar bottles, Thorlo's specialty socks, Sof Sole soles, TKO Boxing products, Lifetime basketball boards and Ping Pong table tennis tables.
Adding value to Sports One's comprehensive list of products is its set of specialised services that include racquet stringing and gait analysis. This complements the personalisation services on offer such as embroidery and printing. Sports One additionally delivers home gym installation services to get your lifestyle in active gear.
The concept has showrooms that offer a comprehensive range of sporting solutions spread across 15,000 sq feet formats.
