Organized an Introductory Meeting for its Female Employees about Breast Cancer Risks Abu Dhabi,29th October 2013: In line with the world-wide breast cancer awareness campaign “Pink October”, Abu Dhabi General Services Company ‘Musanada', in conjunction with Tawam Hospital – Al Ain, has organized a campaign for its female employees to raise awareness about the risks of this disease. “This campaign is an important step and aims at raising health awareness among the company's staff concerning breast cancer risks following its world-wide spread,” commented Trais Al Ketbi Executive Director – Corporate Support Directorate. “Musanada is always keen to participate in such initiatives adopted by Abu Dhabi Government to raise awareness among Musanada's female employees to benefit from such initiatives and enable women in the UAE society to protect themselves from the risks of this diseases,” he added. The campaign included a lecture that was meant to make attendees aware of the reasons of this disease and the early detection and treatment process. Musanada's female employees were also educated about how and when to carry out a breast cancer self-exam, stressing the importance of periodic examination. This was followed by an open session to address employees' questions and enquires. The campaign was concluded by distribution of booklets and pamphlets especially prepared to raise awareness of the risks of this disease.
