Dubai-UAE: 23 October, 2013 - Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, today announced its first participation at CeBIT Eurasia - 2013 in Istanbul, Turkey - the Eurasia edition of the renowned international trade fair for information technology - that runs from 24 - 27 October 2013.
As part of its engagement, DSOA aims to showcase the tech-park's solid value proposition to global technology industries and the growing opportunities in a region that is an early adopter of advanced technological innovations. DSOA will also be looking at attracting European companies that are looking to expand their operations in this region.
Dr Juma Al Matrooshi, Executive Vice President - Commercial at DSOA, said: “We have regularly participated in CeBIT's flagship technology fair in Hannover and Messe editions that are hosted in Germany with a great deal of success. DSOA is now looking to extend its offerings to countries that visit the Turkish edition".
“Dubai and the wider Middle East continually generate significant interest, especially from companies that are keen to leverage the dynamic momentum of the region to establish businesses here. Most organisations consider a presence in Dubai integral to their expansion plans with the emirate serving as a gateway to emerging markets in the Middle East and Africa.”

Considered an international platform for networking and introducing new products, the exhibition is organised by Deutsche Messe AG. CeBIT Turkey 2012 attracted nearly 1,071 exhibitors and 143,728 visitors from 93 countries.
A wholly-owned entity of the government of Dubai, DSO operates as a free zone technology park for semiconductor, microelectronics and electronics-based companies looking to set up their regional headquarters and research and development divisions in Dubai.
