Boggi Milano: 2013/14 Fall Winter Collection

A blending of past and innovation: this is what inspired Boggi Milano's new Fall/Winter 2013-2014 collection. Always formal yet with a contemporary twist, this collection is born from the desire of refreshing a man's wardrobe.

Suits are the season's must: models are developed in classical and slim fit. The main features are the two buttons shape, the use of comfort fabrics, and the recurrence of the double-breasted blazer.

Jackets, garments, dyed trousers and knitwear are combined to offer a more casual look that could reflect the elegant and sleek DNA of Boggi Milano. Structured in weft suits, Prince of Galles and pied de poule appear in bright blue tones, light grey and natural colors.

The absolute new-in of the season is the capsule collection ARCHIVIO, which fabrics were taken back from the original archives of the 40's and 50's and transformed into a modern look with color enhancement and material's weight adjustment.
 
A wide range of shirts in semi plain and micro drawings fabrics was created for a more sober and refined audience, characterized by jacquard threads that generate a bright and polished effect. Particular attention was given to the stronger presence of dark tones such as black and grey and the introduction of new models such as the “young” inspired shirts with small and closed necks and the classical neck renewed with bigger plackets for a more impeccable look.

Reversible reefer jackets for working days and weekends is a strategic addition to the outerwear section; guaranteeing its technical performance thanks to water repellent material. The same characteristics will be found in the new jackets, warmed up by a woolen lining with a wind stop bib.

“Seven folds” ties are an integral part of the collection together with the selection of wool models combined with cotton or silk which perfectly marry the outerwear offerings. The accessories section includes bowties, wallets, cufflinks, shoes, belts, bags and other leather goods.

Another important theme for this season is the use of Alcantara, offered as a contrast to the classical knitwear also adopted in the BM39 collection.

BM39citizen and refined: these are the keywords for the Fall/Winter 2013-2014 season.

Fantasy blazers and elegant jeans are the absolute new-in, pieces to match false plain fabric shirts with a washed-out look using brand new materials and fabrics that confer a new fantasy and shape to the collection while maintaining the famous polish and elegance of this brand.

The BM39 is a “dandy” inspired collection, refined yet original, in search of the absolute elegance. Shirts with Alcantara inserts on Oxford flamed fabrics are the protagonists to match with American pockets and 5 pockets trousers enhanced by micro-fantasy.

Bright colors on sweaters and on internal parts of coats and jackets reveal an excerpt of Spring during this Autumn/Winter season; clothing will be characterized by contrasting combinations for a tailored and rich look: pied de poule fantasy on wool and technical fabrics on outerwear or on polo-shirts as fading.
