Month-long campaign aiming to raise Dhs1.5 million for breast cancer initiatives culminates in Dubai's Big Pink Ball
Dubai, UAE; 9 September 2013 – Dubai's Big Pink Ball promises an evening of entertainment, glamour and excitement when it stages the city's most stylish event for charity on 24 October 2013 at the iconic Sky Bubble, Meydan Racecourse.
The charity bash is being organised by Turret Media as the culminating event for the month long Dubai Goes PinkTM campaign which aims to raise Dhs1.5 million for the Breast Cancer Arabia™ Foundation (BCA™), a leading organisation dedicated to raising public awareness about breast cancer in the Arab world.
Guests can look forward to a fabulous evening as Dubai's largest collection of eclectic cabaret acts take to the stage, inspired by the theatrics and spectacle of Moulin Rouge, gathering a cross section of concerned individuals and organisations who are keen to show their support for a fantastic cause. The year's biggest bash will not be complete without live music and will keep guests entertained until the early hours.
All profit from Dubai's Big Pink Ball will be donated to BCA™, in addition to the money that will be raised during a unique charity auction that will serve as one of the highlights of the event.
“Dubai's Big Pink Ball is a spectacular way to get people together to support a noteworthy cause, while at the same time enjoying a great evening,” said Chris Fountain, Managing Director of Turret Media.
Nayomi, a well-loved brand among women in the GCC having been the preferred choice for affordable yet high quality nightwear and lingerie for the past 20 years, has signed on board as the event's headline sponsor.
Stephen Holbrook, Brand Director, Nayomi, says the company shares the charitable spirit of the event. “In addition, we also make valuable information about breast cancer available on our company website and in-stores, which we hope, along with the combined efforts of all the stakeholders in this advocacy, will result in a slow erosion of the misconceptions attached to a disease such as this, and that in itself is a huge achievement. It is just one of the ways that Nayomi gives back to the society which has been so loyal in their support of us.”
Breast Cancer Arabia™ founder Dr Richard Reyes says the funds that will be mobilised from the Big Pink Ball will go towards supporting the treatments of women and men with breast cancer, who have no resources to shoulder their medical expenses. “The outpouring of support from key sectors for the Dubai Goes Pink™ campaign and Dubai's Big Pink Ball has so far been phenomenal - it is a healthy sign that people are aware of the issues involved; and more importantly, are willing to help. This early, we would like to thank those who have already committed their time and resources towards Dubai's Big Pink Ball, and are looking forward to attending the event.”
With only a limited number of tables still available organisers are encouraging those interested to support the charity event by booking early at www.bigpinkball.com.
