Emirati Consular, Amman join hands with Takatof Volunteers in Jordan

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 4 September, 2013: Emirates Foundation, an independent organization set up by the Government of Abu Dhabi to facilitate public-private funded initiatives to improve the welfare of people across the UAE, has facilitated a trip to Jordan as part of its Takatof International Volunteer program which aims at providing the volunteers with new experiences and enable them to represent UAE internationally.
On the third day the Takatof Volunteers contributed long working hours to help construct and refurbish a home for annedy family in Ajloun, Jordan. His Excellency Faisal Al Malik, Consular, UAE Embassy in Jordan made a visit to the work site and extended a hand to help the Takatof Volunteers and the needy family. The Takatof volunteers and members of the family showed immense gratitude to his visit and enjoyed a day of fulfillment and hard work.

Inspired by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Takatof is a voluntary social program, designed by the Emirates Foundation for Youth Development to create a culture of volunteering throughout the United Arab Emirates. Takatof mobilizes people and resources across the nation to find creative and sustainable solutions for proven community needs. Takatof particularly offers young people meaningful opportunities to volunteer for humanitarian, social and community programs that serve those least able to help themselves.
