Middlesex ‘Inducts' new students

Like every year, Middlesex University Dubai, London's first and only university campus in the UAE, starts inducting its new students in early August and throughout September. Students attending induction days will join the growing Middlesex University Dubai community of over 2,500 students on the 22nd of September 2013, when classes commence for the 2013/2014 academic year. Repeat induction sessions take place regularly to ensure that all students have an adequate opportunity to familiarize themselves with university life.

Induction prepares students for the start of the new academic year by providing valuable information about programmes, student services and the university in general. To further personalize the experience and allow students to interact with faculty and staff, the induction days are tailored to specific groups of students which ensure that their information needs were met effectively. Participants also enjoy meeting and socializing with fellow students who are studying the same programmes.

Middlesex University Dubai is the first overseas campus of the internationally renowned Middlesex University in London. The campus which opened in January 2005, has over 2,500 students from over 90 nationalities and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in a wide variety of subject areas. The origins of Middlesex University date back to 1878 and it is one of only a handful of UK universities to have been awarded three Queen's anniversary prizes.
