ALHOSN University sponsors ADDED's 3rd Ramadan Forum

July 31, 2013: ALHOSN University recently acted as a participating sponsor in the 3rd Ramadan Forum organized by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The sponsorship was extended through the full support of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Holding Company and the Chairman of the ALHOSN University Board of Trustees, H.E. Khalifa Mohamed Rubaya Al Muhairi.

ADDED's 3rd Ramadan Forum aimed to maintain an uplifting economic, social and cultural environment during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The event also provided an ideal opportunity for ALHOSN to showcase its activities and learning programs, interact with students and other forum participants, and outline its various academic programs designed to meet the needs of the labour market.

Professor Dr. Munther Talal Momany, Acting Chancellor of ALHOSN University, said: “The University's participation in the Forum reflects its commitment to the educational, social, cultural and economic growth of Abu Dhabi and the entire UAE. We support the various initiatives organized by ADDED's Ramadan Forum, which focused on various social, cultural and economic issues of key importance. The event provided an interactive platform to communicate in a Ramadan-inspired ambiance and share our ideas and insights about topics of great interest to the community. Many of the discussions were related to strategic industries that continue to undergo change and growth year after year in line with developments in Abu Dhabi and across the country. The Forum successfully covered all segments of society, offering an ideal networking venue to discuss and study current issues in a transparent and direct manner.”

The ADDED Forum discussed the advantages and disadvantages of personal loans and emphasized the importance of Emiratizing the private sector – one of the top priorities of the Abu Dhabi Government. The event also included cartoon and theatre performances on relevant topics.

ALHOSN University actively engages in various fairs and seminars in Abu Dhabi and across the Emirates that serve as platforms for disseminating its holistic approach to education and personal development, in line with its philosophy of ‘global knowledge with location vision.' The University was established in 2005 by the Abu Dhabi Holding Company in response to growing demand for high-quality educational institutions in the UAE.
